We May Have Found The Perfect Fall Dessert

It's Washington's Cider week (Sept. 4- 14), so obviously the city is a little obsessed with ciders right now. While most of the events this week are showcasing ciders from the many local distilleries around town, only FROST and Grizzly Ciderworks are taking a slight spin on this week with...a cider cupcake.
Be still our beating taste buds. Based out of Woodinville, Grizzly Ciderworks was born of a best friendship that wanted to "bridge the gap between beer and cider enthusiasts," and now brews nine dry-hopped ciders all made from Washington apples.
Enter FROST Dessert Lounge the Mill Creek sweet shop which serves everything from frozen custard to doughnuts and cupcakes. They tried Grizzly's Bruin cider (brewed with molasses and brown sugar), and decided it would make a stellar cupcake.
They reduced it, and baked it into what they're calling the Grizzly Hard Cider cupcake: topped with cinnamon buttercream and a house-made hard apple cider candy. Not a cupcake person? There is also a fritter option. Hard Apple Cider Caramel fritters use the same cider as the cupcakes for people who are more into breakfast sweets.
FROST is going to be sampling their cupcake, fritter and other fall desserts (think Chai French Macarons, Pumpkin Spice Cake Doughnuts and Snickerdoodle Cupcakes) at the Grizzly Ciderworks booth at the Cider Summit in Seattle this weekend.
It's like we've been saying all along: Washingtonians are the smartest people in the whole world. And we work so well together! Thanks to Grizzly and FROST for teaming up for this gem; we know how we're going to celebrate Cider Week, and fall!
