Sterling is one of the shop's three owners, and the mastermind behind several of Frost's oh-my-gosh-inspiring confections. Think banana split fritters. Think smoked bacon maple bars.Sterling, along with longtime friends Paul Goetz and Del Hernandez, opened the shop on a Friday in July.
It is with great honor and admiration that we present to you the Best of 425 winners. Congratulations to all who made this prestigious list.
Get a load of the Smokey Bacon Maple Bar at Frost Doughnuts. Mmm, yummy bacon. We get these on occasion at Uber but it's way too good to have it all the time.
FROST was prominently featured with a multi-page editorial in 425 Magazine.
The doughnut that made me close my eyes and tilt my head in utter bliss was none other than the Smokey Bacon Maple Bar. A maple bar is pretty amazing on its own; add to it freshly fried bacon crumbles, and man oh man, this baby is a heart breaker. Heck, it’s breaking my heart at this very moment because there are 1,158 miles between us. Nickel Diner can’t compete.
FROST Doughnuts opened in July 2009 and quickly developed a devoted fanbase with their "Classic," "Premium," and "Evolved" creations like Banana Split Fritters and Bourbon Caramel Pecan, Marcona Almond & Tart Cherry Bismarck, and Southern Red Velvet doughnuts. We ordered a half-dozen to sample, taking just one bite of each as we had a day of serious eating ahead of us.
